I have managed or assisted in the migration of three GIS operations from UNIX to Windows NT, and implemented a fourth operation directly in Windows NT. As part of this work, I have advised on the migration and reorganization of data, retrofitted GIS applications to work in the new environment, assisted users by supplying them with cross-over tools and with hands-on training, and compared performance and costs between the two operating environments in order to satisfy management decision-making.
