Starting in 1988, I have designed, programmed, or managed the production
of dozens of distinct GIS-based software applications, involving teams
of ten programmers, support staff for long term projects spanning three
years. I have been involved in most phases of software engineering, from
concept and functional requirements specification, to implementation planning,
basic and detailed design, prototyping, module design, code generation,
version control, supervision, quality assurance, documentation, test site
selection, Alpha and Beta testing, training design and delivery, and marketing.
I have created or managed the creation of four commercial software packages
or modules. I have also debugged and retrofitted applications written
by other people.
